“GGateway for Outsourcing Information Technology” is a social enterprise founded in Gaza in January 2016 after 2 years of piloting work in UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency). GGateway works as a non-profit entity and in accordance with its mission reinvests any surplus in accordance with its mission, vision, principles, and values in order to realize its objectives. GGateway offers customized and competitive ICT business outsourcing services to clients worldwide. At the same time, GGateway enables young ICT graduates from universities in Gaza to access professional opportunities in a learning environment, and enhances the ICT sector in Gaza by providing qualified labour and business opportunities. GGateway services such as but not limited to Data Management, Process Improvement, Training Material Development, Software Testing and Application Development. GGateway also runs a vibrant and innovative freelancing platform (GHub), a co-working space equipped with the IT infrastructure fostering collaboration and knowledge transfer to create professional ICT communities. GGateway is supported by UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency)

Project Summary:
GGateway jointly with UNRWA Gaza IT Service Centre have agreed on developing new application and relative backend layer that consider data requirements for workflow, reporting needs, and compatible with updated technology. As a result, GGateway automated workflow within Shelter Unit in UNRWA by creating unified database and application tiers in Data Based Management (DBM) Project- Phase I.
Following to the first phase, UNRWA Shelter team expressed the urgent need to develop a system that can share information with community about the progress of shelter case assessment and progress. This need lead to DBM-Phase II Project.

Position Summary:
This advertisement seeks qualified applications for a Team leader Position. The team leader will do the following:

  • The Team Leader has the daily responsibility for delivering an outsourced client project.
  • Support the design, planning, training and on boarding, and recruitment of the project and its delivery team.
  • Work closely with the Business Operation Manager and Social Mission Manager to Lead in the delivery of on-job training and collaborate in the delivery of other initial training.
  • Daily, supervise and support the delivery of all project tasks.
  • Monitor, quality assure, and report on the delivery of all project tasks.
  • Take part in Team Leaders’ professional development, through structured activities, self-directed and peer learning.
  • The Team Leader, with the Business Operation Manager’s support, carries out client relations and reporting.
  • Liaise as required, adhering to the communications plan of the project.
  • Report (Monthly / Bi-weekly) fully on achievements and challenges.
  • Work with the senior management team on project reviews at milestones, and contribute to the ongoing learning of the GGateway.
  • With the Social Mission Department / HR department, the Team leader is responsible for projects associates’ probation and final performance evaluation.
  • Support the GGateway by performing such other tasks as may occasionally be required.
  • Participate in relevant project evaluations and needs assessment with appropriate tools.
  • The Team Leader’s work will be evaluated individually and collectively as part of the delivery team by the Business Operation Manager and Social Mission Manager.
  • Ensure proper baseline data collection as well as end-line data collection in line with the evaluation strategy.
  • Update and maintain high quality project’ records (translations, plans, success stories, attendance, etc.).
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Reporting and Supervision:

  • The Team Leader reports to the Business Operation Manager. All HR matters are the responsibility of the GGateway HR department.
  • The Team Leader supervises 6 Project Associates.
  • The Team Leader has project management responsibility but no budgetary authority.
  • Team Leaders form a distinct layer of GGateway management, with peer learning encouraged. The team Leader will join Projects’ teams meeting for technical discussion of the project, and for peer review of all projects at milestones.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Graduate degree in a field related either to Information Management, Information Technology, Management Information systems, Computer science, software engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 3 – 4 years of experience in a field related to this project.
  • Have very good experience\ knowledge in web programming including ASP.net MVC
  • Have excellent experience and knowledge in Database applications including MS. Excel, Access, SQL DDL and DML.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a project management or leadership and team management position, in any formal or informal context.
