Project Assistant

NATUF is a Palestinian non-governmental organization thatpromotes community development in a healthy environment; it has a proven track of experience in community development, Environment, Education, Youth, Health and Infrastructure.

NATUF, is a local partner for Al Fakhoora Dynamic Futures Program (DF); a program that is managed by the United Nations Development Program, Program of Assistance to the Palestinian
People, UNDP/PAPP and co-funded by the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah and Education Above All-Al Fakhoora Organization, Qatar. Al Fakhoora Dynamic Futures Program’s ultimate outcome is to establish a cadre of Palestinian university graduates from underserved backgrounds, making meaningful contributions as leaders in their communities and globally.
As a part of its project design, DF provides students with a comprehensive multi-stage training program to empower them to become leaders and advocates, equipped with internationally
recognized employable skills, as well as a wide range of opportunities to apply the gained skills and knowledge in a way that enhance their surrounding communities, therefore NATUF seeks
to recruit a dynamic staff member for the following position:

Title: Project Assistant
Location: Al Fakhoora House, NATUF for Environment & Community Development, Gaza
Period: 5 months with possibility of extension based on performance and fund availability
Monthly Salary: $ 700 Position
Category: Full Time

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Natuf is looking for professional Project Assistant who will work closely with DF scholars and Al
Fakhoora House staff to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of Scholarship, Leadership,
Advocacy, media& skilling activities. S/he will assist in managing, designing, developing,
coordinating and conducting large or small scale training programs to help the program students
gaining soft and technical skills; in addition to assist managing advocacy activities via indoor,
outdoor and social media events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1- For Skilling and Leadership activities:
 Support the project coordinator in assessing the training needs and develop programs
to match these needs.
 Assist in designing and preparing Leadership & skilling training
 Track and report on training outcomes and provide feedback to PMU on the
participants.

2- For Social Media and Advocacy
 Assist on implementing social media advocacy campaigns relevant to UN days and
other local and global issues as needed
 Assist in preparing and facilitating video conferences between DF scholars and other
international peers.
 Managing a team of volunteers including motivating and inspiring them to be
involved in social media and advocacy activities.

3- Other activities,
 Support the project coordinator in the implementation of the project activities by
service providers, suppliers, partners, trainers, and mentors and that all work is
carried out in full compliance with the policies and requirements of steering
committee, UNDP PMU and donors.
 In accordance with a monitoring plan, carry out and fully document field visits, data
gathering, and verification of attendance and activity delivery, scoring of tests and
related tasks.
 Maintain complete and accurate records of the implemented activities (paper and
electronic).
 Handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment.
 support the project coordinator in preparing terms of reference (ToRs) of the
trainings and activities and handle procurement activities such as advertising,
opening, evaluating; Take part and share responsibility for all evaluations, and
awarding bids
 Gather reporting information, including but not limited to photographs of activities,
and success stories for promotions.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
1- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, , or other related field
2- At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
3- Has a knowledge in photography, and social media.
4- Experience in education sector and youth development is an asset.
5- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
6- Advanced organizational skills, Self-directed employ, responsive to multiple requests, organized, and able to prioritize and respond to requests within requested timelines and
under pressure.
7- excellent written and verbal communication skills
8- Excellent language skills in English and Arabic.
9- Proficiency in MS Office.
