Bayader is working in the fields of Child protection & education, development and institution building, community development, economic empowerment & civic participation and emergency response & early recovery.

Islamic Relief Worldwide - Palestine office (IR) in cooperation with Bayader are in the process to implement “Livelihoods Creation and Economic Empowerment for Vulnerable Groups” Project which aims to support the livelihoods and economic empowerment of vulnerable groups through recovery of existing income – generation project or support new project for the affected groups. The project aim also to develop effective economic system for the beneficiaries by provision of technical assistance through a focused training to develop the intellectual and life skills. 
Bayader seeks qualified candidate to fulfill the following vacancy:

Position title: Business Counselor
Number of Positions: 1
Project Duration:
 10 Months
Directly Reporting to: Bayader Executive Director
Location: Khan Younis.

Summary Job Description:
The business counselor is responsible for the overall technical and implementation of project activities, ensuring the project meets its objectives and targets. The business counselor develops operational plans, monitors their execution, and prepares periodic project performance reports.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  Represent project to local stakeholders.
  Reviewing grant application and conducting field visits for applicants.
  Conduct field visit for selected beneficiaries.
  Develop business establishing and development training materials in the field of life      skill ,financial literacy and communication skills.
  Develop project operational plans.
  Develop monthly activity plans and oversee their implementation.
  Follow up grant implementation.
  Facilitate periodic staff and beneficiaries meetings.
  Coordinate and responsible for implementation of application session.
  Provide beneficiaries with consultation in the field of marketing, communication and networking with local community.
  Provide marketing linkages and positioning for established micro-business.

Documentation, Learning and Reporting
• Ensure submit timely, complete and accurate reports.
• Document best practices, lessons learned and success stories.
• Prepare narrative reports.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Social Science, Business Administration, Or related discipline.
• At least 3 - 4 years of experience in community development, with at least 2- 3 years of implemented similar project.
• Specialized knowledge of and experience with microfinance project development.
· We prefer candidates with up to date techniques in the various economic sectors. 
• Proven leadership ability with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong writing and documentation skills.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel).
