Title: Procurement Coordinator
Report to: Logistics Officer
Contract duration: 12 months

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The Procurement Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for conducting all procurement activities related to QC programs, projects and administration. S/He will conduct the procurement in accordance with the highest standards of profession and ensuring adherence to Qatar Charity procedures and regulations.
-Day-to-day conducting of procurement processes and activities from the purchase request level to close-out and final payment.
-Prepare solicitation and tender documents for all QC projects (gathering technical documents into bid forms, contracts’ preparation, direct procurement activities, etc.) under the overall direction of the Logistics Officer and in close coordination with other team members.
-Conduct tendering, evaluation, placement and monitoring of contracts including procurement of works, goods and services.
-Assist in selection of appropriate suppliers, contractors and service providers, in accordance with QC procurement policy to promote good procurement practices.
-Draft contracts with contracting companies, suppliers and service providers to achieve service levels through projects/programs’ implementation.
-Maintain effective procurement documentation and records in compliance with QC policies and procedures.
-Establish and maintain a central register of all contracts, develop appropriate databases for key suppliers and main contractors.
-Collaborating with the Logistics officer and projects/programs team to update procurement plans periodically ensuring that project entities are ready and timely due compliance requirements are available.
-Performing other duties as may be assigned by direct supervisor.
ESSENTIAL WORK ACTIVITIES
Not limited to the followings; Coordinating and conducting procurement activities for all programs/projects and administration procurement.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Bachelor degree preferably in Engineering, Accounting or Business Administration or any other related field, with strong post qualification experience (minimum 3 years in related field)
-Strong communication skills.
-Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritizing a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
-Demonstrated experience of working with team.
-Professional computer Skills, word, excel, and access.
-Valid driver’s license.
-V. Good knowledge of English and Arabic.
-An understanding of and commitment to QC’s mission and values
