Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI), is an independent Palestinian organization based in Ramallah with a branch in Gaza.
PICTI has been created through the initiative and support of the Palestinian Information Technology Community. PICTI’s mission is to support Palestinian ICT entrepreneurs in developing their innovative business ideas and contributing towards the revitalization and sustainable growth of the ICT sector in Palestine.
PICTI is seeking energetic talent individuals to fill career oriented positions on its headquarter in Ramallah as follows:
Financial and Administration Officer – Gaza [One Vacancy / Full Time]
Duration: 16 months (extendable)
Starting date: As soon as possible
The “Financial and Administration Officer” will be responsible for implementing all activities relating to the following tasks in full cooperation with the project staff:
-Prepare monthly banks, account R, and account P reconciliations.
-Good knowledge of closing Vat entries according to local tax law.
-Validate cost of goods sold and Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
-Carry out other financial tasks could be required.
-Perform day-to-day financial and accounting functions, monthly closing and reports including handling tasks related to financial and accounting cycle.
-Manage expenditures to ensure budget control.
-Verify all payment requests and ensure compliance with the project budget.
-Enter all accounting data on the financial system
-Manage the financial aspect of the procurement process.
-Prepare financial reports.
-Prepare monthly financial bank reconcile nation for all accounts.
-Prepare receipts and checks according to accounts related to expenditures.
-Prepare detailed cost estimates, in budget analysis and project as required
-Ensure an efficient cash flow process to the program.
-Maintain Program’s financial records and other related supporting documents.
-Ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the program management
-Carry out other tasks as may be required from time to time for the smooth running of work
-Train the Administrative and financial assistant.
-English oral & written
Qualifications & skills:
-BA degree in Business administration or Accounting.
-A minimum of one years working experience in accounting.
-Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office and accounting programs.
-Good communication skills.
-Ability to work under pressure and for long hours.
-Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
-Good financial reporting skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
-Preparation of cash flow projections
-Reconciling all bank accounts on a monthly basis.
-Monitoring bank account balances and transferring funds as needed
-The duration of the contract is 16 months (full time based), and it is renewable subject to needs and availability of fund.
