وظيفة AIDA Coordinator - المجلس النرويجي للاجئين - غزة

The AIDA Coordinator will be responsible for supporting AIDA members and AIDA operations, through facilitation of communication, information sharing, coordination, 

representation and action among or between various actors to allow for more effective and efficient delivery of humanitarian assistance, recovery and development programming, and advocacy and policy change in Palestine

Job description

-Develop relationships and represent AIDA as needed to other fora, including PNGO, the ICCG, and Emergency Operations Centers, the ACU, and INSO.
-Support or lead advocacy or lobby meetings, towards key stakeholders or targets inside Gaza or outside.
-Support the development of strong links and clear ways of working between AIDA and local NGOs.
-Together with the UN, represent AIDA members to local authorities and ensure that the Executive Committee and AIDA members have a clear picture at all times of the operational issues and challenges in Gaza. Field requests, support the development of policy, and make appropriate referrals to AIDA members on operational issues like registration, etc.
-Responsible for developing and keeping updated the key briefings on operational issues in Gaza, and supporting the development of policy positions as required specific to the Gaza context.
-Develop or lead the development of surveys, survey questions, other information gathering tools to support the operations of AIDA and the realization of its strategic objectives.
-Improve flow of information between AIDA members, UNDSS, the ACU, and INSO on security and movement and access-related issues.
-Support more effective and consistent communication and engagement with the UN, the local authorities, donors, and other stakeholders through development and delivery of communications products.
-In close coordination with the West Bank AIDA officer, assist the Director, the Policy and Advocacy coordinator, and the Executive Committee with various functions related to gathering information and conducting research on topics relevant to members and AIDA strategy
-Develop or support the creation of materials to promote awareness about AIDAs function in Palestine, and its positioning in Gaza.


Qualifications

-University degree in Social Sciences, Administration or any other related field.
-At least 8 years relevant work experience in humanitarian and emergency response, and development programming, with international NGOs in senior management capacities.
-Communications, research, data gathering and information management.
-Excellent written and spoken English.
-Computer literacy in using Microsoft Office and email/internet

-Excellent written and spoken Arabic strongly preferred.
-Background including knowledge of developments and trends in Palestine.
-Coordination and Advocacy experience a very strong advantage.
-Experience using social media tools.
