Camera Operator and Sound Engineer  مشغل/ة كاميرا / مهندس صوت | Location: Gaza Field Office |  Deadline for Application :20 December 2015

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures, the ideal candidate:
-Operates the current professional camera equipment at UNRWA TV/multimedia unit and to be capable to guarantee a professional output
-Records professional sound recording and operate sound mixing equipment with a professional output
-Designs lightning and softening in studio and on location
-Sets up and operate jib/tracked camera movements
-Understands and be able to execute focus pulling on moving shots
-Has a thorough experience in performing camera and sound recording equipment maintenance in a responsible and capable way
-Archives from memory cards to ftp servers and other online transfer mechanisms
-Clears and stores cleared rushes in accordance to archive settings
-Performs any other tasks assigned by manager/team
-Adheres to UNRWA staff code and UNRWA work ethics

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
-Two years Diploma at relevant faculty (arts, media, film etc)
-Previous professional Television/Film experience
-Minimum three years of relevant working experience (or 5 years if no diploma)
-Professional operating experience with professional camera, sound and lighting and jib equipment
-Experience with shooting for a variety of TV and film formats
-Experience in working with children and adolescents
-Knowledge of or experience with the humanitarian (UN/NGO) system
-It’s desirable to have ability to work in English; editing skills and knowledge of motion graphic and Musical/ composing abilities

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
-Basic Salary: Monthly basic salary $910.60; currency adjustment factor (present rate 4.14%); monthly dependency allowance $18.65 and Group Medical Insurance GMI $11.00
-Contract Duration: Six months. Extension is subject to continued need, availability of funds and satisfactory service.
-Leave: 30 days annual leave.
-Other conditions of service and benefits may apply.
-A regular staff member can apply to this LDC post but will not be allowed to assume such post through secondment as he/she needs to leave his/her current post to accept LDC appointment.
