MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures, the ideal candidate:
-Prepares design and bills of quantities of the electrical works (infra-structure and super-structure) for the new construction and maintenance projects;
-Supervises the Electrical Site Engineers and follows up their performance in sites;
-Has a wide knowledge and experience in design resources which specified for drawing and calculation.
-Has enough experience in preparing tender documents (electrical works part) through systematic
procedure compatible with other works.
-Prepares technical specifications for materials specified during design works.
-Commits to hand-over time of design works according to drawn plan by direct supervisor.
-Archives all done works versus time.
-Prepares precise cost estimate for works designed by staff.
-Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
-University degree in Electrical Engineering.
-At least five years experience in Electrical and Electro-mechanical installation, testing commissioning,
design and supervision.
-Knowledge and experience in UNRWA installations is preferable.
-Fluency written and spoken English and Arabic.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-It’s desirable to possess of a valid driving license.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
-Basic Salary: Monthly basic salary $1,195.70; plus a currency adjustment factor (present rate 7.01%) Contract Duration: six months. Extension is subject to funds availability, continuing need and satisfactory performance.
-Other conditions of service and benefits may apply.
-A regular staff member can apply to this LDC post but will not be allowed to assume such post through
secondment as he/she needs to leave his/her current post to accept LDC appointment.
