The Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees (PARC) is a leading Palestinian Agricultural Development Organization that was established in 1983.
Since its establishment, PARC has been efficiently engaged in Palestinian land development, water resources & environment, poverty reduction and women empowerment, olive oil marketing, as well as other crucial rural development programs.
In accordance with its mandate, PARC will be implementing a project titles Improving Food Security and Enhancing Resilience in Gaza through optimized rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure after the 2014 conflict very soon. This project is in partnership with Diakonie Katasterophenhilfe (DKH) and funded by the Douche Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project rebuilding the agribusiness of certain number of Palestinian farmers affected by the last 2014 offensive in the Gaza Strip and enhancing farmers resilience against potential natural and manmade hazards utilizing the Building Back Better Approach (BBB).
To accomplish those objectives, PARC is seeking qualified Project Field Supervisors. Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Project manager, the Project Field Supervisor main function will assist accomplishing
-Ensure maximum engagement of community members, leaders and partners CBOs.
-Lead the process of devising a participatory and transparent beneficiaries selection approach in the targeted communities
-Lead the process of beneficiaries selection in a participatory manner according to an already set criteria.
-Conducting damage and technical assessments for war affected farmers
-Establishing rehabilitation plans for benefiting farmers
-Developing proposals in the field of food security/ agriculture.
-Monitoring and tracking ongoing project, including evaluating and reporting to program people, partners and donors.
-Conducting site visits for completed and active projects.
-Reviewing projects activities and providing critical analysis of projects strengths, weaknesses and risks.
-Knowledge on the build back better approach.
Duration and Nature of Appointment: The contract will be one year contract with possibility to be extend for three years.
Salary: The salary is competitive and commensurate with the qualifications
BA in Agronomy or a related field, with at least three year experience in implementing agricultural projects, preferably greenhouse and open land rehabilitation projects.
Good command in English Language
