Position Station: Gaza Strip
Contract Type: Annual, Extension of contract is subject to availability of funds.
Start Date: April, 2015

The Small Enterprise Center (SEC) is an integrated package of innovative business development services consisting of, but not limited to, institutional capability building and strengthening initiatives, human resource training and development, needs and markets assessments, value chain development, and human capital development. SEC started as a project within the framework of the former GIZ Private Sector Development Project in 2002 and was founded in Ramallah, in 2008 with six full-time employees.
The organization has now grown three offices, with one in Ramallah, one in Jenin and one in the Gaza Strip. SEC is a leading Palestinian micro-finance organization, offering high quality training programs to small and medium businesses in the public and private sector across Palestine. SEC has qualified staff with rich experience in developing and building businesses, and SEC employees are the only CEFE qualified trainers in Palestine. Our present expertise and our specialization of operations cover the entire spectrum of the development field, including policy-level interventions, institutional and organizational planning, human resource development, management and training.  We offer specialist advice of the highest quality focused on meeting clients’ development needs in a comprehensive and timely manner.

SEC is currently seeking to higher business development specialist(s) to work with us on annual base. The shortlisted candidates shall match the following requirements:
Education
-At least Bachelor degree in business management, administration, engineering or other relevant economic fields. preference given to master degree.

Qualification and Experience
-Experience in conducting training for adults at least for two years
-Experience in conducting training using CEFE approach at least for two years with experience in dealing with illiterate persons and vulnerable groups.
-Three years business development or business management experience in small scale enterprises.
-Work experience with non-governmental sector, marginalized communities and relevant organizations.
-Ability to bring an entrepreneurial approach to all types of businesses sectors.
-Market research experience in addition to marketing/sales experience.
-Training and coaching skills including project management, financial, quality, and marketing literacy, communication skills, leadership, negotiations….etc

Additional Skills
-Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
-Good communication skills
-Ability to work individually and with a team
-Computer literate and familiar with MS Word, Excel, outlook, Power Point.
-Good presentation skills and ability to facilitate group meetings.

Associated Tasks
-Development of beneficiaries’ needs and business needs assessment and mapping to identify and assess the actual needs of each owned or run business/enterprise.
-Develop training manuals/materials in topics related to business development specially SMEs.
-Hold training sessions relating to management, financial, quality, and marketing literacy.
-Review, report, and provide technical support to the business development of business owners   to better managing their business.
