Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations’ Network (PNGO) Gaza- Sector and Cluster Development Coordinator "Full Time"
Palestinian NGO's Network PNGO is a leading civil society network that plays primary role in developing a civil society that is independent, free of occupation and sustainable where Palestinians enjoy democracy, tolerance, dignity, social justice, rule of law and respect of human rights.
PNGO is seeking to recruit qualified experienced committed professional for a full time post of “ Sector and Cluster Development Coordinator ”
Role and core responsibilities of the sector and cluster development coordinator:
-Together with clusters partners and PNGO sectors, undertake capacity mapping and gap identification exercises to develop a capacity-development strategy for the sector.
-Faciltate PNGO scetors inclusion on the clusters also enhance information sharing between diffrent stakeholders.
-Identify the training needs of cluster partners and communicate them to the PNGO Director.
-Participate in cluster meetings, brief the sector and PNGO on major decisions/ actions by the cluster, and follow up.
-Participate in meeting with the INGOs and UN Agencies in areas related to humanitarian interventions. And to document their activities and actions.
-Facilitate the work of various stakeholders to establish a clear linkage between the level of risks and type of response provided.
-Coordinate the efforts of various organizations to ensure continuous risk monitoring (political, environmental, economic and natural) and ensure that user friendly updates on these risks are provided on a monthly basis.
-Inform the PNGO Director and the sectors members of any critical gaps in the response that cannot be covered by any cluster to intervene and advocate for the cluster and the sectors to take the necessary action.
-Facilitate organizing the sector different meetings " agenda- minutes of meetings" and advocacy activities.
-Identify issues of mutual interest and identify information, which should be proactively shared with the sectors.
-Facilitate needs assessments and analysis among cluster partners and participate in needs assessment exercises as appropriate to ensure that identified needs, gaps and priorities are as evidence-based as possible in any given emergency context.
-Contributes to relationship building between PNGO and it's different sector with different clusters and working groups.
-To collect information regarding NGO's humanitarian response and other actions for documentation and distribution.
-Document PNGO workshops and meetings and ensuring monitoring and reporting.
-Translate documents from English to National language and vice versa as required.
-Achieve other tasks requireed by PNGO managenet within the Job title and description.
Required academic and professional qualification/ work experience:
-Bachelor degree or equivalent professional work experience in: Social/ Political Sciences, International Relations, Business and Public Management. Master's degree preferred.
-Minimum of 3 years work experience in NGO coordination work, and project management.
-In-depth knowledge in public policy, and strategy analysis
-In-depth knowledge of advocacy strategies,-methods and –tools

-Ability to multi-tasking, prioritise and work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment
-Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated communication and personnel skills
-Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in English Language
-Strong analytical skills
Working Time and Duty Station:
Working time: 42 hours weekly (with flexibility to work extra time and in the week end)
Duty Station: PNGO Gaza office, with flexibility to conduct field visits.
